This week’s launches ranged from spooky Halloween treats to festive foods.
Soreen launched a variety of holiday-themed lunchbox sized loafs this week. For Halloween, we have the Chocolate & Blood orange and Toffee Apple. For those getting into the Christmas spirit, there is Gingerbread and Raspberry & White Choc, all labelled vegan.
These join the already available lunchbox flavours of Banana, Apple, Strawberry and Malt. The Lunchbox varieties cost £1.40 at most major supermarkets.
Plant Pioneers Deli Style Slices
Sainsbury’s Plan Pioneer range continued to expand with the addition of two styles of deli slices, No Chicken Slices and No Ham Slices. Made with wheat and pea protein the packs are advertised as ‘High in Protein, Low in Saturated Fat’ and are available in the chilled section.
Squeaky Bean Deli Slices
Squeaky Bean also released two new deli slices, Applewood Smoked Ham, and Honey Roast Ham. Both are made from wheat protein and cost £3 for 120g.
These will be available from Sainsbury’s with hopefully more supermarkets to follow.
Options Hot Chocolate
Twinnings makers of tea and other drinks have launched a vegan hot chocolate in their Options brand. The Vegan Belgian Choc is made to the same great taste as the non-vegan versions but is 100% plant-based.
The new hot chocolate is available at Tesco for £3 and is in perfect time for the cold evenings drawing in.
Tesco Finest Crisps
Tesco Finest range released new recipe versions of their Mature Cheddar & Red Onion and Roast Beef and Horseradish crisps, both now labelled as vegan. The website may still reflect the older recipe so please check the packets in store if purchasing. The larger bags (150g) are ideal for a movie or gaming snack or sharing with friends and family.
Tesco Halloween Sweets
Tesco also added some dairy-free spooktacular treats to their Free From range with the Chocolate Pumpkin Balls and Tesco Free From Spooky Chocolate Coins (£1). Perfect for trick or treating, Halloween parties or just a Halloween themed snack.
