Spread the love

After discussions with PETA, multiple ad agencies and similar organizations—including Wunderman Thompson, Ogilvy, Leo Burnett Chicago, the Ad Council, RPA, and SandersWingo—committed to not featuring images of breathing-impaired breeds (BIBs) in any newly produced advertising or marketing materials going forward, in order to avoid fueling demand for them. These types of dogs—such as English and French bulldogs, pugs, Pekingese, Boston terriers, boxers, Cavalier King Charles spaniels, and shih tzus—are bred to have drastically restricted airways that make it a daily struggle just to breathe, run, and play. PETA is calling on all other relevant organizations, companies, and institutions to follow suit. Everyone can join us in urging the University of Georgia to stop promoting BIBs.
