Vegans Are Us has been a staple in the New Jersey food scene since opening its first location in Vineland in 2019. This August, Vegans Are Us opened their highly anticipated second location at the Tanger Outlets in Atlantic City.

Based on the August 2nd grand opening turnout of Vegans Are Us, you’d have a hard time believing that it was for an all-vegan restaurant. The community turned out in droves to support the new business, thrilled to finally welcome vegan options to Atlantic City’s Tanger Outlets.

As one of the only independent restaurants at the outlets—and the only one with vegan options—Vegans Are Us brings a spice of local life to the shopping mall, which is otherwise decorated with large chains and corporations.

Located just across the street from major hotels and the convention center, Vegans Are Us is making it easy for people visiting Atlantic City to choose vegan options, and the great reviews and community support the restaurant has received since opening is only helping pave the way for more vegan restaurants to open in the area.

Vegan Soul Food in Atlantic City

Vegans Are Us serves up some of the best vegan soul food in Atlantic City in a laid-back, fast-casual atmosphere. The menu includes a variety of sandwiches and burgers, such as the Ultimate Beast Mac & Cheese burger, which includes a Beyond patty and housemade mac ‘n’ cheese (which they offer in a cashew or chickpea base!) with all the usual fixings. And we hear that their Italian sub is so good, it leaves the shoppers in line at the nearby Subway with major food FOMO.

Vegans Are Us offers a stacked brunch menu on Sundays from 10am-3pm that features homemade waffles & chicken, organic grits, and plenty of other mouthwatering specialties. Whatever you decide to order, make sure you grab at least one side of their famous Soul Slaw or collard greens. And if you’re looking for something quick and light, Vegans Are Us offers plenty of salads and smoothies as well.
