After several date changes, the expo is set to take place at London’s Business Design Centre on the 15th & 16th of October. It will showcase some of the latest products in the plant-based food industry. The exclusive event for trade professionals will allow only retailers, chefs, and investors the opportunity to discover new brands and product lines. 

This is the first time a Plant-Based World Expo event has happened in Europe. Previously they have been held in New York annually. 

Jonathan Morley, Managing Director at Plant Based World Europe, says: “We can’t wait for the show doors to open. The plant-based industry is experiencing an unprecedented level of growth right now as more and more consumers prioritise their health and wellbeing by looking to reduce their meat and dairy intake. With a quarter of Brits predicted to be vegan or vegetarian by 2025, now is the perfect time for the industry to come together to showcase the innovation happening within the industry in one place.”  

New vegan options 

Meat-free and fish alternatives will be exhibited alongside dairy replacements. Snacks, multi-vitamins, and health-food products will also be on display. Among the brands present Future Farm and Planted are keen to show the protein-rich nature of their products to audiences. 

The expo is eager to show non-vegan businesses how easily they can adapt plant-based food options into their already existing models. Quorn Foods are in attendance to demonstrate how its high street-inspired dishes can be utilised across foodservice channels. The focus here is on the versatility of the products, and how effectively they can mimic the originals without sacrificing flavour or nutritional value.  

Carbon negative products such as those produced by Better Nature Foodare also present to demonstrate how environmentally friendly plant-based food options are. Reducing environmental impact is of vital importance, as Seabloom has joined to showcase their fishless tuna made without harming the oceans. Notably, they donate a portion of their products to Sea Shepherd to help protect the ocean further.

It is a fantastic networking opportunity between professionals allowing for product tasting opportunities.
