Happy June! Happy Pride! As we hopefully start to ease out of our thousand months of lockdown we have a quick Veg Guide update for all of you with new places for you to check out, read on!
489 College St.
This vegan chick’n place running out of Snakes and Lattes on College has been getting a lot of press for its vegan fried chicken sandwiches and bowls. We have it on good authority that it’s delish! Make sure to order yours before showing up, they’re so popular they’ve been selling out!
151 York Boulevard, Hamilton
Hamilton has a new vegan resto! (I feel like we say that every month!) Hamilton folks are super lucky to have another choice of vegan eats; Fresh has opened up a location for delivery and takeout! Who’s up for packing up and moving to Hamilton for eats full-time?
5915 Atlantic Dr. Unit #1 Mississauga
Joughnuts is a new doughnut shop in Mississauga. They offer weekly tasters boxes with six different flavours available for pickup on Saturday afternoons. The offerings change each week, but there’s amazing flavours like biscoff, cookie monster, dunkaroos, and pina colada. And, they give a portion of their sales to different animal and people based charities each month!
Looking for custom baked and decorated cookies? Sheela will bake it! We’ve all seen those amazing iced cookies available for omnivores, but this new baker in Toronto will make custom vegan cookies! Available in different flavours, there’s also cupcakes, cakes, and pies!
173 Dundas St., W.
VegeDelight is a new vegetarian (mostly vegan) restaurant at Bay and Dundas. They offer an extensive menu with Chinese and Thai food at reasonable prices! Lots of mock meats, dumplings, soups, and stir frys. We’ve tried it, and everything we ordered was so so good! You can order from delivery apps, or directly from their website. Make sure to check if they’re offering a promo on their site!
That’s our update for this month! Make sure you follow us on Instagram for the latest news in GTA eats! In particular, check out all the great Pride specials this month. See you in July!
