2. Cocos Organic yoghurts launch in Waitrose

Cocos Organic vegan yoghurt

Cocos Organic, a family-owned dairy-free brand, has launched a new range of UK-owned organic yoghurt alternatives.

The range features organic, all-natural yoghurts containing 98% pure organic coconut milk. They promise an indulgent, creamy texture that will be loved from the first mouthful.

The yoghurts are available in five delicious flavours: Natural, Vanilla, Strawberry, Mango & Passionfruit and Mixed Berry. However, only three are currently available from major supermarkets.

The natural and strawberry flavours are available now from Waitrose for £4.99 per 400g, while natural, strawberry, and vanilla are available from Ocado for £5 each.

3. Ombar launch sustainable oat milk chocolate bars

Ombar oat milk chocolate

Ombar has created a new range of vegan chocolate with sustainability at its core, with four new flavours of oat milk chocolate bars.

The bars, available in Smooth & Creamy Original, Salted Caramel Truffle, Hazelnut, and Fruit & Nut flavours, have less than half the carbon emissions of mainstream milk chocolate.

On top of that, the emissions that are produced by the bars are offset, and 3p per bar sold will be donated to Fundcaión Jocotoco, an NGO based in Ecuador (where Ombar sustainably source their cacao). The donation will aid reforestation of the Chocó rainforest – a global biodiversity  hotspot.

Ombar’s Oat M’lk bars can be bought from their website for £15 for a bundle of six.

4. Festive sandwiches from Tesco

The Plant Chef Root Veg & Chestnut wrap (£2.75) is a beetroot tortilla wrap filled with perfectly roasted root vegetables, chestnuts, braised red cabbage, spinach, rosemary stuffing and covered in a tangy vegan mayo.

The Wicked Kitchen Turkey Cali Wrap (£3.00) is a California-roll inspired wrap, featuring a tomato tortilla filled with marinated wheat and pea protein, pickled red onions and a rich and creamy pesto mayo.

Both sandwiches are available from the food to go section in Tesco now, with the Plant Chef wrap available as part of the meal deal.
