This popular Indian streetfood is otherwise known as Aloo Tiki chaat. Deliciously vegan and great for batch cooking!â
Ingredients
- -1 packet steamed Ayrshire potatoesâ
- -half red onion finely choppedâ
- -half green chilli chopped optionalâ
- -handful of fresh corianderâ
- -Spices; 1 tsp salt cumin powder, chaat masala, coriander powder, garam masala.â
- 1/2 tsp red chilli powder tumericâ
- -2 tbsp of rice flour or use cornflourâ
Instructions

-Steam your peeled potatoes.â

-Mash with your hand to keep a chunky biteâ

-Add the onion, spices, coriander powder and flour.â

-Mix well. With a wet hand divide the mixture and make equal size balls and create little patties.â

-Refrigerate for 30 minutes and gently fry in small batches until golden and crispy.â

-To assemble your salad bowl, Add some yogurt raita (check the previous post for this), ribboned moolie, cucumber, julienne carrots, masala corn (check the previous recipe). Carrot chutney, fresh coriander, pickled onions, and lots of tamarind chutneyâ
