This month, a new plant-based intimates brand makes its debut at Walmart. Kindly—which launched the first-ever plant-based bra cup in August—offers affordable bras and underwear for women, made with fabrics crafted from responsibly sourced Brazilian sugarcane, as well as recycled nylon and spandex.

“Real sustainability does not exist without accessibility. When selecting a retail partner, Walmart was a no-brainer for us. We’re thrilled to bring the world’s first plant-based bra cup to market, and humbled by the opportunity to speak to Walmart’s wide and diverse audience,” shared Yossi Nasser, CEO of Kindly. “It’s important to us that Kindly is known not only for quality products, but more for creating a movement towards a more eco-friendly and attainable lifestyle for all.”

Supportive Bras and Bralettes Made from Sugarcane

Kindly designs supportive bras and bralettes made from sugarcane, as well as a proprietary blend of recycled nylon, spandex, and elastic. Each bra offers comfort and support while enhancing your body’s natural shape. Styles include the Micro-Loop Bralette, Seamless X-Back Bralette, and Seamless V-Neck Bralette, each of which comes in colors such as black, blue, pink, and green wind palm.

In addition to bras, Kindly crafts a variety of women’s underwear made with recycled nylon. The underwear is available in three styles—Seamless Boyshort, Micro Hi-Cut, and Micro-Thong, and feature cool, feminine designs such as palm leaves and camo print.

Sustainable Bras and Underwear

As the fashion world continues to take steps toward a more sustainable industry, more companies are beginning to design intimate wear that is kind to the planet. Brands such as Everlane, Boody, Bare Reverie, and Pact all use eco-conscious materials like organic cotton, bamboo, and hemp to create sustainable yet stylish intimate wear for both men and women.

By choosing to use sustainable materials, these companies avoid contributing to the pollution that is caused by chemicals or toxic dyes in fabrics and reduce textile waste that would go to a landfill.

Kindly bras and underwear are now available in Walmart stores nationwide, and can also be ordered online at Walmart.com.
