With the end of 2021 fast approaching, the Veg Out team was in the mood to look back at some of the amazing episodes created this year.
Welcome to our best of show! We look back at some interviews, topics, and tips from the archives, including some clips from past episodes.
We were also inspired to look back because our host station CJRU is just about to launch their Fall Fundraising Drive, and we wanted to take some time to celebrate community programming, both from their station, and our podcast.

How to Support CJRU Community Radio:

CJRU 1280 AM is a non-profit, volunteer-made radio station with a special mission this Fall.

From November 14th to November 20th, CJRU is raising funds to develop and implement the Your Story Here mentorship program that will launch in the Spring of 2022. The program is an effort to further expand on the station’s storytelling culture by providing an opportunity for selected individuals who are doing impactful work within their communities, to be immersed in the world of community radio. Working alongside CJRU and guest facilitators to create an audio/visual documentary that tells their story, participants will learn the ins and outs of script writing, vocal recording, audio editing, broadcasting and more – while creating their own piece of audio/visual content that shares their personal stories and the work they do with a broader audience.

Visit their fundraising site to see the membership levels and benefits of donating.
