From The Vegan Review

83% of singles who are vegan are already dating more or the same as they did before Covid-19, according to a new report by dating app Veggly.

New data from vegan dating app Veggly has revealed a surge in plant-based dating after the easing of the Covid-19 lockdowns across the world. 83% of vegans say they are back to dating the same or more than they did before the pandemic.

The survey spanned 4,000 respondents, 40% of whom said they are dating more and 43% said they are already dating the same amount as before. 45% said they didn’t date at all — virtually or in person — during the peak of the pandemic.

Additionally, 29% of vegans admitted that going on a date is their first priority when restrictions ease in their area.

Veggly founder Alex Felipelli said: “The pandemic has been very frustrating for people looking for love and new relationships as restrictions have prevented dates, meet-ups and holidays. As the lockdowns are easing, we are now witnessing a large surge in new downloads, dating activity and new relationships for vegans and vegetarians. This is wonderful to see.”

He added: “Many herbivorous daters are clearly wanting to make up for lost time and find their perfect plant-based partner or partners. We are bringing on new team members to make sure we can handle the increase in traffic and demand. As this trend continues, we are expecting October 2021 to be the busiest month ever for vegan dating.”
