Los Angeles-based Sage Plant Based Bistro & Brewery will close its Culver City location on March 19. The Sepulveda Boulevard spot is the flagship site of the vegan favorite, which now boasts three other locations. Sage supports local organic farms and regenerative agriculture through its all-vegan and often nut-free, soy-free, and gluten-free menu items!

Sage Culver City Transitions to Grab-and-Go Concept

Sage’s Culver City location will close after 10 years of local service. Citing rising costs, government restrictions, and a lease end, Sage has decided to change its strategy for serving guests delicious plant-based meals. Instead of the sit-down experience SoCal guests may be used to, the Sage Culver City location will convert to a pickup and to-go model. That means you will still be able to indulge in its irresistible pizzas, soups, tacos, and salads—just from the comfort of your own couch.

Sage’s Vegan Menu Items

Between its three locations that will remain open and this new grab-and-go concept, you can continue to indulge in the Sage experience. Use Uber Eats to order its vegan, nut-free, and soy-free Buffalo Cauliflower Pizza with its famous Buffalo cauliflower with pesto, Follow Your Heart mozzarella, arugula, and ranch. Pair with the suggested housemade beer, the Field Day American Style Pilsner.

Or try Sage’s soy-free Farmer’s Lasagna with organic lasagna noodles and seasonally available vegetables, all layered with pesto, cashew cheese, organic housemade marinara, Follow Your Heart mozzarella, and parsley. Full brunch is also served on the weekends, for all you blueberry pancake or potato flauta lovers!
